The health of the Norwegian Forest cats is the most important and while breeders we must be aware of all the studies and research that are made on the most inherited diseases, genetic and hereditary diseases that might affect the breed, and so I leave here a little about those diseases that affect more markedly the Norwegian Forest cats.
The most important are called GSD-IV, called Glycogen Storage Disease type IV and HCM called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.
